Gold Seal Product Certification

BOROUX water filter systems and filters are Gold Seal certified by the Water Quality Association (WQA), the oldest third-party certification in the water filter industry.

Products must pass rigorous testing requirements to be certified:

Verification and validation from an independent testing process offers the reassurance consumers deserve.

NSF/ANSI Standards

NSF International (NSF) and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), globally recognized organizations that ensure public health and safety in consumer products.

Standards are developed through a public process for balanced input from industry representatives, public health and regulatory officials, certification bodies and testing labs, and users. Products are rigorously tested and evaluated to verify that it performs as claimed, that the materials used are safe, and that the product effectively reduces contaminants from drinking water.

BOROUX Certifications:

Drinking Water Treatment Units, Aesthetic Effects

NSF/ANSI/ 42

Nominal Particulate Class I

Appearance | Taste | Smell

This standard establishes minimum requirements for removing or reducing the concentrations of compounds that cause an unpleasant taste, odor or color in drinking water. Certified products must remove or reduce concentrations of contaminants that may cause negative aesthetic effects such as chlorine, chloramines, sizable particulates and microbes, manganese, iron, and zinc. Applicable for point of use and point of entry systems.

NSF/ANSI/CAN 401

Emerging Contaminants

Microplastics ranging in size of ≥ 0.5 µm to < 1 µm

This standard establishes minimum requirements for emerging contaminants of concern. Certified products must remove or reduce concentrations of contaminants that have effects that are not yet fully researched such as microplastics, pharmaceuticals and pesticides.
