Product information

Maximum Longevity

Routine maintenance ensures the maximum longevity of BOROUX water filters. Sediment and minerals can accumulate in the upper chamber clog filters if not cleaned periodically. Included is a sponge for cleaning the chambers and scrubbing the filters.

Cleaning System and Filters

We recommend cleaning the stainless steel chambers and spigot monthly. The foundation filters should be scrubbed every three to six months or when you notice a slower flow rate. After cleaning and testing with the red food dye the filters should be reprimed with the blue priming tool to ensure a proper flow rate.

Always Have Replacements

Stripped wingnuts don't happen often, but if overtightened there is the possibility that they can strip and not hold your filters in place securely. Have an extra set of wingnuts and washers at the ready if they're needed.
