I have a white silicone ring with my sleeve, where does it go?
The white silicone ring is intended to go in the bottom of the sleeve to help stabilize the bottle. However, not all bottles will require the use of the ring; it's mainly there if the bottle feels loose in the sleeve. If you're experiencing issues with the cross-threading, try adjusting or removing the ring to see if that resolves the problem.
Can I use my BOROUX sleeve for cold beverages?
Yes! You can use your glass water bottle inside your move sleeve for cod beverages to keep them cold for prolonged periods of time. It can keep ice frozen all day.
Can I use my BOROUX sleeve for hot beverages?
Borosilicate glass is resistant to temperature change (because it does not expand like ordinary glass) we only recommend using hot liquids in the sleeve if you put the glass bottle in the sleeve first before pouring the liquid in, as the glass will be very hot.
What is the difference between borosilicate glass and regular glass?
Borosilicate glass is a higher quality glass that is stronger, more durable, and especially resistant to cracking and thermal shock.
Is borosilicate glass unbreakable?
While not completely unbreakable, it is more durable than regular glass. The bottom of the BOROUX bottle is roughly 300% thicker than competitor bottles to help prevent breakage. When broken, borosilicate glass tends to crack into large pieces rather than shattering (it will snap rather than splinter).
What is borosilicate glass typically used for?
Borosilicate glass has a wide range of uses. It is commonly used in cookware and lab equipment, but is also used in high quality products like optic lenses, implantable medical devices, and equipment used in space exploration. It is also a popular medium among artists such as glass sculptors.
Will the bottle leach any chemicals into my water?
BOROUX glass bottles can be used repeatedly without any harmful chemicals leaching into your water. The lid is stainless steel inside and out with a silicone seal. With the BOROUX glass water bottle, you can have the convenience of plastic without compromising your health.
Are the BOROUX bottles and Sleeve dishwasher safe?
Yes, the BOROUX bottles are dishwasher safe, however, the stainless steel lid and Move Sleeve should be hand washed only.
