How To Use

The BOROUX Automatic Filter Primer is designed to work with the Boroux Foundation Filter, the Boroux Proactive Fluoride Filter and the Black Berkey Filter.

The below steps show how to prime the Foundation Filter using the Primer.

STEP 1
FiltrationSet Up the Filter

Take the filter and remove the wing nut (leave the washer in place), and attach the filter to the primer. Rotate until snug — hand tighten only.

STEP 2
Start Priming

Place the primer and filter in the lower chamber and hook it securely. Fill with water to the marked level on the primer, then press “On” and “Prime.” The primer will automatically stop when done.

STEP 3
Final Check

Remove the filter and ensure the washer is secure. Repeat for each filter. If the water isn't clear, re-prime the filter.

No, the Primer is not waterproof. Do not fully submerge the Primer in water.

• Press and hold the power button: Ensure you’re pressing and holding the button firmly rather than tapping it.
• Listen for sounds or vibration: When attempting to start the primer, check if there’s any noise or vibration—this could indicate the motor is trying to run.
• Check for blockages: Inspect the primer for any visible obstructions or debris that might be preventing it from operating properly.
